I’m glad you were able to see that soldier and that he felt you see him in a way that shifted the energy, and maybe the course of both your lives. I wonder if I can see my own family (of origin) members in this way and if it would be received or just dismissed. Do you think it is true that something in that soldier wanted to be seen by your heart?
It is good question Cathy. I don't know if he felt seen. I was a relief worker, and certainly he had seen those before. I am not sure what possibly happened in his mind. It just felt like these stories (many in India) where an old yogi meets a tiger in a cave and is able to survive by projecting love, a sense of not being a threat but rather a friend...
I am quite sure the intensity of the situation -de-escalated due to this, although at the time I did not have the words I have today to describe it.
